Career Experience
Creative and competent individual with a broad range of skills. I am currently working as an instructional developer specializing in more complex development and design of lessons. I have education spawning the areas of business, education, programming, technology and informational sciences. I have experience as an instructor, designer, developer and manager. I am a natural leader but easily integrates into a team. I excel under pressure and have been able to competently deliver quality materials within my deadlines.
Career Objective
My passion is connecting adults with learning opportunities, usually online learning, where they are able to better their life through open education. I plan on developing my own teaching experience while working on my doctoral degree with the hope of one day opening my own school focused on the education of inmates in the prison system in the United States.
Teaching Philosophy
Each student is unique and learns in their own way and also has challenges and boundaries that are just as unique. Distance learning and online learning enable the use of multiple methods of teaching (linguistic, visual, auditory, and kinesthetic) as well as break down barriers such as geography/location and time. I feel that most people can learn anything if they are able to find a way to connect to the material in a way that works for them. My goal as a teacher is to find a way for them to connect to that material.
